Robin Sheared (formerly Robin Springer) practices Acupuncture, Chinese Orthopedic massage (Tui Na) which encompasses acupressure, deep tissue and sports massage, and relaxation techniques, as well as Chinese Herbology. She is licensed both nationally in Acupuncture and by the California State Board of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine.
She received her acupuncture and massage training in the four-year masters program at The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, earning her degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She interned for many years at ACTCM, practicing acupuncture and massage. Prior to earning her Masters’ degree, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz, with an emphasis on biology and writing.
Robin increased her training through various interning opportunities including: Waimea Natural Health Center, Dominican Hospital Physical Therapy Department, The Jewish Home for the Aged along with Dr. Lifang Liang Gynecology Center and Moss Acupuncture. Her specialties are in pain rehabilitation, gastrointestinal disorders, muscular-skeletal issues, pregnancy, gynecology, fertility, sports medicine, and kidney disease.
In addition to her private practice, Robin also continues her services as an independent contractor with Franklin Templeton, an Investment company in San Mateo, California, where she provides massage therapy to their employees one day a week at their Wellness Center. She has been doing this for several years now.
Her acupuncture practice, located in San Francisco’s Lower Haight, is focused on the belief that her customers’ needs are of the utmost importance and she is committed to meeting those needs.
